Linda wurde in London bereits Opfer eines Mordanschlags, den sie nur knapp überlebte. Zudem landete eine junge Frau, die ihr ähnlich sah, tot in der Themse. Wer will ihr Böses? Und warum? Hat es etwas mit der Nachricht zu tun, die Linda vor Wochen als letztes Lebenszeichen von Roger erhielt? Die Schauspielerin nimmt den Auftrag des Geheimdiensts an und sucht gemeinsam mit dem Journalisten Tim Valentine, einem Berufskollegen ihres Bruders, in Casablanca nach einer ersten heißen Spur. Es wird immer verzwickter und gefährlicher, denn niemand von den Menschen, die sie in dieser Angelegenheit kennenlernt, scheint die Person zu sein, die sie zu sein vorgibt. Dieses sechsteilige Hörspiel von Francis Durbridge stammt aus dem Jahr 1945 und wurde nie auf Deutsch vertont. Es enthält alle typischen Zutaten eines typischen Krimis des britischen Autors. Zudem ähneln die Titelfiguren stark den bekannten Krimihelden Paul und Steve Temple. Der Autor schrieb die Story in den 1960ern zu einem Filmtreatment für einen geplanten Tim-Frazer-Kinofilm in Deutschland um, der nie realisiert wurde.
