About the Author :
Carl Jones - About the Author Carl Jones is a motivational speaker, coach and trainer. Having worked in a particularly stressful environment as a front-line police officer, he observed first-hand the harmful effects of stress on people, including himself. Reducing stress became his mission, described as an obsession by those closest to him! His research into the subject helped him create The Caveman Principles, The S.L.A.P. Technique, The Capacity/Need/Want framework and his motivational speaking business. Carl delivers engaging talks and shares real-life stories, lessons, and theories to help those suffering from stress. He leaves audiences with a new understanding of stress and feeling better about everyday life. His mission is to work with people who need his help, teaching the Caveman Principles to conquer stress. Writing and publishing this book has given him a greater reach, a plaform to help more people cope with everyday stress.

Review :
I found the Caveman Principals to be a witty, humerous and easy to follow self help guide based on the premis that stress and your reactions to it are the main cause of angst, anxiety, worry and self deprecating beliefs. Using and sharing his own experiences, Carl Jones has managed to unpack, using simple, clear language the common threads of DISC and MBTI to condense these into a Caveperson analogy that struck a cord with me and I've used this insight to shape my thinking around interpersonal communication in the workplace and what motivates me to enjoy my life. As a 'Hunter' with a fair degree of 'Protector' thrown in, I've re-assessed my family and close associates into the Cavepeople and this has opened up bett er communication between the people I love and the various teams I lead, which of course leads to better results and happier people. Personally, continuing the Caveman analogy of internal change management up lising the 'Herder' and the 'Mammoth' not only led to some genuine laugh out loud moments, but quiet refl ec􀆟 on on the 􀆟 mes I'd let my Herder try to short cut the journey and derail the Mammoth! I've read a number of business related psychological based books, to further my work and mitigate stress 'triggers' and feel that The Caveman Principals should be right up there as a sooft introduction to this area. Mark Pearce, CEO & Director - JPR Environmental, Instant Insight Business Accounting and ANLIE.
