About the Book

Most of David's poetry isn't personal in the traditional manner, but it is imaginative, dramatic and "romantic", in the sense that he always sees the best in what's out there, and if it makes the dark darker, so be it.

About the Author :
David E. Hall was born in Halesworth, and lived near the Suffolk coast in Leiston until his late teens. Since Davids early twenties he has lived in Rugby, Warwickshire. He is divorced, and have one daughter. David says he always thought, almost subconsciously, that he could write poetry, how well he didn't know, and as he never lifted a pen and his imagination as one until he was in his sixties, with one end in mind, he was obviously in no hurry to find out.

Review :
I like David's poetry a lot. He is naturally gifted, and his poems have an atmosphere and edge all of their own. His sense of where to rhyme is pitched for maximum effect, as it should be, and not just for its own sake. Great lines come at you off the page at a satisfying rate, and it is not an overstatement to say he has the capability to be extremely brilliant, and I wish him every success... Jaimie McGarry, Valley Press Editor David always says to me "I am good with words, so that is why I can write passable poetry. It does not have to be personal, It's just the way you put the words together" As someone who has always written and read poetry I disagree with him. David writes poetry in a way that is full of feeling and empathy. Only someone with the heart of a poet could put such beautiful lines together... Veyda Buyukerzurum Reading David's poetry conjures up images in the mind, evokes feelings and thoughts in a way that, to me, is unique and profound. He has the ability to translate what he sees and thinks to the reader in a way that is both sensitive and exciting in equal measure, and I really hope he has the success he deserves... Shirley Stockton David's poetry has beautify depth, is evocative, sensual, thought provoking and stimulating, everything poetry should be. A slim book you can come back to again and again. What more can I say, a master at work. Sally Paget
