About the Author :
Mark Brennan is Head of the Division of Clinical Education in the Kent Institute of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Kent in Canterbury. He is also Honorary Associate Dental Dean in the Postgraduate Deanery for Kent, Surrey and Sussex, and a visiting senior lecturer at Cardiff University's School of Dentistry. Hequalified in medical ethics and law at King's College London (MA, 1991). He was a member of the General Dental Council working group which produced guidelines for the education and training of dental care professionals in the UK, Developing the Dental Team (GDC, 2003).Mark is co-author of another PasTest book, The Practical Guideto Medical Ethics and Law (second edition published 2005).Mark was a DentEd peer visitor to dental schools in Kaunas, Umea, and Sarajevo, and, as an active member of the Association for Dental Education in Europe since 1998, was awarded the ADEE Certificate of Recognition of Excellence in Dental Education in Athens in 2005.Richard Oliver is Reader in Orthodontics, Director of the Dental Education Unit, and Honorary Consultant in Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry,Wales College of Medicine, Life and Health Sciences, Cardiff University and Cardiff Dental Hospital. He qualified in dentistry at The London Hospital Dental School and worked in practice in the UK and Canada before specialising in orthodontics at the School of Dentistry, Cardiff University. He was responsible for leading Cardiff's dental curriculum change between 1997 and 2005. He has also been involved in European dental education as a DentEd visitor and as an active member of the Association for Dental Education in Europe. Richard was awarded the ADEE Certificate of Recognition of Excellence in Dental Education in Athens in 2005.
