About the Book

This special issue of Anarchist Studies celebrates the life and work of Colin Ward, one of the best known anarchist writers of his generation and his work on children and play, urban architecture and plotlands, squatting and criminology, water resources and public transportation - to name a few pursuits - broadened his appeal to a wide range of architects, historians social scientists and activists - as well as anarchists. Ward was the editor of Anarchy (italics) (1961-1970), perhaps the best English language anarchist revue.
