Mind Bomb

The night Angus and Hamish were born, a violent gale raged across the west coast of Scotland. The storm killed their father, and their birth killed their mother. 'Mind Bomb' is a compelling, wildly comic, subversive and highly imaginative novel that narrates the misadventures of Angus and Hamish Macleod, twin brothers separated at birth in 1951 on Scotland's holy Isle of Iona. Lola, the fickle Goddess of Chance, contrives to reunite the twins. She succeeds in her endeavour. What ensues is a sex, drug, rock and rolling helter-skelter ride that transports the reader into dimensions beyond the known.

About the Author :
The son of a Company Sergeant Major, Forbes cay Mitchell was born in the North of Scotland in 1951. He spent his childhood growing up on the streets of Glasgow. In 1968 he broke free from the rigid social environment he found himself living in and followed LSD Guru Timothy Leary's advice to turn on, tune in and drop out. He hit the hippie trail to Kathmandu and fell in love with Afghanistan and India on the way. Subsequent to that, he repeated the overland journey on several occasions. In 1984 he started painting and signed his work with the name Luke Mitchell. After some difficult years he began to enjoy a successful career as an artist. Luke's paintings have been exhibited internationally, working in conjunction with the prestigious GO Gallery in Amsterdam. Luke has an encyclopaedic knowledge of contemporary music. In his spare time he DJs as a hobby. His mixes encompass an eclectic spectrum of international sounds. He believes music to be a universal language, which has the communicative capacity to cross all social barriers. The inspiration to write his first novel came after a narrow escape from the tsunami in Sri Lanka. In Luke's words, 'I realized that my whole life, up to the point when the tsunami thundered in, had been a preparation for witnessing the heart-rending events that were to unfold in front of my eyes during the aftermath of that catastrophic human disaster.' Fearing a cholera outbreak, he flew to Cambodia a month later, and it was there that he became acutely aware of the diabolical reality created by antipersonnel mines. First, by observing disfigured landmine victims begging on Phnom Penh's street corners and second when it dawned on him that he might have wandered into a minefield while exploring a remote region of the country. He lives in Ibiza with his wife and family. He is currently working on Borderline DreamtimeA", book two of the Landmine ChroniclesA" trilogy.
