Review :
Yn ei waith beunyddiol fel rheolwr Archif Sgrin a Sain y Llyfrgell Genedlaethol mae Dafydd Pritchard wrthi'n dawel yn rhoi ar gof a chadw ac yn diogelu rhai o'r eiliadau prin hynny sy'n esbonio pwy ydym ac yn adrodd ein stori fel pobl. Yn yr un modd yn y gyfrol hon mae'r bardd-archifydd yn cofnodi'n dawel ambell garreg filltir ar ei siwrne bersonol o Nant Peris i Lanbadarn Fawr ar sgrin a sain ei awen glywedol. Rhwng llinellau'r cerddi deuwn i'w adnabod yn well. Cawn ddilyn y Ln Fain yng nghysgod copaon gwyn y Garn a'r Glyder ym mro'i febyd hyd at gaffis y prom yn Aberystwyth, lle caiff gyfle i fyfyrio wrth wylio'r haul yn machlud a'r dydd yn diflannu dros y mr tragwyddol. Ar y daith synhwyrus hon cawn flasu llaeth enwyn a mwyar duon hen ffordd o fyw a chyfarfod 'i ddiweddar frawd, Alan, i'r hwn y cyflwynir y gyfrol er cof amdano. Tywysir ni hefyd ar nifer o deithiau tramor ac mae'r cardiau post o gerddi o gyfandir Ewrop yn cyfoethogi'r gyfrol. Ymateb bardd a geir ynddynt yn hytrach nag ailbobiad o lawlyfr y twrist. Fel T. H. Parry-Williams ac Iwan Llwyd o'i flaen, mae'r ln tua'r gorwel yn denu. Cyflwynir ni hefyd i rai o'i gymdeithion. Ef, bellach, yw bardd llys byrddau gwledd y Llyfrgell Genedlaethol a cheir yma nifer o gerddi cyfarch i rai o gymeriadau'r sefydliad hwnnw yn nhraddodiad gorau'r canu mawl. Ac yn ogystal, yn null y bardd cymdeithasol, fe gofir yn dyner am ambell un a gollwyd ar y daith. Ar ben hynny cawn fraslun o'r map ysbrydol a'i harweniodd ar y bererindod o gapel yr Hen Gorff yn Nant Peris hyd at yr Eglwys yn Rhufain. Ar y ffordd geilw heibio am egwyl yn Abaty'r Brodyr Llwydion ym Melmont yn swydd Henffordd, yn y gobaith o fedru clustfeinio ar y geiriau cudd a gwyd o dawelwch mynachdy. Mae'n gwmni difyr. Mwynhewch ei ddiwylliant eang a'i hiwmor cynnil wrth gydgerdded y Ln Fain.
