About the Book

Chrissie Daplyn is diagnosed with a rare condition called Pseudomyxoma Peritonei. Through her faith in God, she is able to remain positive throughout her traumatic illness and let go of her anger for those whom she feels have wronged her. Her joy and appreciation of life remain evident amid this upsetting news. This is an enjoyable, inspirational and heart-warming story that will encourage many Christians to maintain their faith even when times are hard. "My prayer is that I will never take for granted the joy of life, the smell and sight of Spring flowers, the simple joy of walking out with Brian, and being able to do my grocery shopping."

About the Author :
Chrissie Daplyn was born in Chesterfield towards the end of WWII, her mother and sisters having been evacuated there from East Anglia. At the end of the war they returned home to Lowestoft where she has lived ever since.A practising Christian since the age of twelve, she acquired the habit of writing a journal and it seemed natural to begin writing down what was happening as her health deteriorated and she endured numerous hospital admissions and surgery.Together with her husband of 43 years, Chrissie has worked in her local church which is affiliated to New Frontiers, a worldwide family of evangelical churches committed to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and bringing hope and healing to all people. Together they have encountered the whole range of people's problems and difficulties and have endeavoured to be of service and help to their congregations. She has been a member of King's Church, Great Yarmouth which was established in 1995 and which is a planted-out church from Lowestoft Community Church which her husband, along with others, founded in 1985.Among her various administrative posts in her employment Chrissie worked for her Local Authority for several years in their Social Services Department, initially for a generic social work team and as co-ordinator for their Child Protection Team. Now officially retired, Chrissie continues to assist Brian in running their small picture framing business.
