About the Book

This is a practical guide to the new requirements for leading your subject. It has everything you need to: keep track of standards in a manageable way; track pupils' skill development; measure Pupils' achievement; lead developments in the context of your own particular school; and to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses, and make realistic action plans. The book contained in a handy ring binder has the usual 'user friendly' layout associated with Focus publications and can be used for any subject. The file will form an invaluable resource for all subject leaders and includes hints and tips for subject leaders in small schools as well as larger ones. Co-written by Clive Davies, Chris Quigley and Subject Leaders from the Rochdale Federation of RC Primary Schools, the file is a 'hands on' working example of how leadership can be developed at this level. The involvement of subject leaders from a range of primary schools ensures that the file is firmly grounded in current good practice.
