About the Book

Since his first novel in 2012, Roger Riccard has taken readers through the Twelve Days of Christmas, An Alphabet of Cases, The Colourful Cases of Sherlock Holmes and The Seven Deadly Sins and now brings us the first volume of The Zodiac Cases of Sherlock Holmes.

Aries: A Reckoning at Ramsgate - The daughter of Watson's former commanding officer is convinced that the wounded soldier who has recently returned from the Boer War is not her brother, but an imposter. She pleads for Watson to ask Holmes to investigate in secret.

Taurus: The Case of John Bull vs. Britannia - A statue of John Bull outside a curio shop near Kensington Palace has been mysteriously replaced by a statue of Britannia. Holmes is asked to find out how and why.

Gemini: The Gemini Pearl Necklace - A necklace featuring identical pearls of great size and value may be the target of a strange observer of the farm Holmes and Watson are visiting.

Cancer: The Case of the One-Armed Crabbe - A one-armed sergeant comes to Dr. Watson confessing to a killing. Can Holmes prove that it was self defence?

Leo: The Lioness in Winter - A famous actress dies unexpectedly. Was it truly natural causes, or was it a dramatic plot against her?

Virgo: The Absconded Virgin - A famous painting of the Virgin Mary has been replaced at the National Gallery during the night. A frantic curator comes to Holmes to find the missing masterpiece.

Sit back and enjoy reading this latest installment of six new adventures, and don't forget to watch out for the second volume of The Zodiac Cases of Sherlock Holmes coming soon.

About the Author :
Roger Riccard, though born and raised in the USA, has Scottish roots, which trace his lineage back to the Rose clan of the Highlands in Scotland. This British Isles ancestry encouraged his interest in the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and C. S. Lewis. He is now the author of more stories featuring mysteries with the 'World's First Consulting Detective' than those written by Conan Doyle. He lives in a suburb of Los Angeles with two cats named Bela (after Bela Lugosi who played Dracula, because he likes to bite) and Amanda (after Amanda Blake who played Miss Kitty on the old television western series, Gunsmoke) When not editing Watson's notes of Sherlock Holmes adventures, he is singing with a group which entertains senior citizens in retirement homes, or watching baseball, crime dramas, musicals and classic movies, and British mysteries on BBC America.
