About the Book

This revised and updated edition offers teachers a concise, practical introduction to the Creative Problem Solving process. Used by thousands of teachers seeking a friendly introduction to using CPS effectively in the classroom and in life, Creative Problem Solving: An Introduction is a time-honored classic. CPS is based on extensive research, development, and field experience in education, businesses, and many other organizations. Creative Problem Solving is a process that allows people to apply both creative and critical thinking to find solutions to everyday problems. CPS can eliminate the tendency to approach problems in a haphazard manner and, consequently, prevents surprises and/or disappointment with the solution. If you're new to CPS, use this book for a concise, but complete, introduction to the basics of Creative Problem Solving. If you're an experienced creative problem solver, use this book as an update of the recent advances in CPS that make the process even more natural, flexible, and user-friendly than ever before! Creative Problem Solving: An Introduction is also an excellent choice for use as a participant's textbook in introductory workshops, courses, training programs, or seminars. For more information on Creative Problem Solving, refer to Creative Problem Solving for Kids, CPS for Kids, CPS for Teens, CPS in the Classroom, and the Creative Problem Solver's Guidebook.
