About the Book

A gripping murder mystery that asks: who will listen to the dead? Across Auckland, deliveries are failing to reach their targets - because the intended recipients are dead. What starts as a grisly murder without a motive turns into something more sinister, as another body is discovered. Someone wants them found; someone who wants to send a message. A serial killer is once more at work in the City of Sails, and his victims are women with too much love to give. To track down the avenging Cupid, Detective Constable Andy Stirling needs all the help he can get from medium James Paxton. When the media get wind of Paxton's involvement, however, the manhunt rapidly becomes a circus. As pressure mounts from all sides, Paxton and Stirling must find the killer before he strikes again.

About the Author :
Andrea Jutson, thriller writer, was born and raised in Auckland. She has worked as a journalist, bookseller and librarian. She has published two psychic thrillers featuring reticent medium James Paxton, an English immigrant to Auckland: Senseless and The Darkness Looking Back. In the Sunday Star Times, her writing was compared to that of Ruth Rendell and Jeffery Deaver. Clea Marshall, in nzgirl magazine, wrote: 'I could visualise every scene from the book and the locations weren't your average Auckland icons, either. ... Andrea Jutson writes with authority and compassion ... Senseless is a strong, thoughtful crime novel that stands out from the crowd.' 'Neither contrived nor clich d, Paxton is a fascinating and reasonably complex character - not a cardboard cutout of the average "psychic" tabloid columnist or wannabe TV celebrity ... Topped off nicely by moments of humour and domesticity that provide a breather from the dark deeds, it's an enjoyable local read for crime fiction fans,'Craig Sisterson concluded in NZ Lawyer.
