About the Author :
Robert Jansen is a physician and gynaecologist practicing in the superspeciality of infertility. He has been medical director at Sydney Ivf since 1986. He was a member of the Australian government's Medical Research Ethics Committee in 1982 when it produced the world's first national guidelines for ethical Ivf and embryo research. He is clinical professor at the University of Sydney, where he teaches reproductive medicine and surgery.
