About the Author :
The author, Derek L Waller, spent over 18 years in industry in engineering design, production and operations, construction, marketing, strategic planning, finance, working on projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the USA. He has been a professor at the Lyon Graduate School of Management, France since 1989, where he teaches Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Statistics, and Applied Management Science. Derek has PhD and BSc degrees in engineering, an MBA and a BA. He is a Member of the Institute of Operations Management; a Chartered Engineer; and a Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
