Review :
As a way of reviving and updating one's knowledge of Mozart's life, this will be difficult to surpass. This book is one that any reader with an interest in Mozart will find hard to put down. Written with clarity and attention to detail it is a fitting tribute to a much loved genius. The book is an eminently readable, enjoyable and human portrayal of a composer. This deserves to be one of the most read Mozart books this year. The author has done an excellent job...presented in a concise and readable style. The content is a refined, insightful and accessible study...a worthwhile, well written addition to the bulging Mozart shelves. Highly informative biography...The crisp clarity with which Rushton writes, authoritative but always accessible...entirely recommendable.
