About the Author :
Richard Fairhead is a qualified architect with extensive experience of designing and delivering within a range of sectors, on both large and small projects, including the implementation of information management systems. Richard has been keenly involved in the development of design through the use of computers and CAD for the past 20 years. He has developed a number of IT CAD protocols and execution plans, as well as developing the use of BIM at a number of practices. Richard was a key member of the RIBA working group that developed the new RIBA Plan of Work 2013, having already been involved in the BIM Overlay in 2012. He has presented widely on the development of BIM at several RIBA, RIUA and Bentley Systems events, and has previously written on BIM in the RIBA’s Handbook of Practice Management.
