About the Book

In this valuable reference book, the author shares his experience of dealing with these markets over a period of forty years in his capacity as an Export Sales Manager, Far East Business Consultant and International Marketing Executive. Using a new approach, Isaak Gewelbe covers in just one book the most important Far Eastern markets, namely Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. A bible or directory for Far Eastern businessmen and students with a fairly good command of the English language, it shows, step by step, the procedures on how best to export Far Eastern products into the overseas markets. These are then underlined with actual case studies in major Far Eastern markets. Granted the E-award for excellence from the US Department of Commerce for exporting industrial products that were difficult to sell to European markets, the author demonstrates what can happen if you are ill-prepared for an overseas trip, whether it is to Latin America or the Far East. By exploring the various kinds of products available, quality control, practicalities and procedures, including methods of payment, he enables the Far Eastern readership to recognise how best to purchase Far Eastern industrial and DIY products to avoid mishaps such as importing incorrect or defective merchandise, showing clearly the different types of business people and their behaviour in each market. This book also makes clear the specific issues involved with importing goods to what is a fairly small country with a relatively small population, as opposed to a country like Germany, for example, as a smaller market can be flooded much more quickly. Purposely written in an easily understandable English language, the Author provides the reader with important English business and technical expressions, to help the Far Eastern readership better understand the contents of this book.

About the Author :

He has written articles on licensing and a checklist on opening a foreign subsidiary in the Marketing Journal of Germany.
