About the Book

Many classroom teachers have to deal with children with language difficulties and impairments within a mainstream classroom setting with little or no support from outside agencies. These difficulties can be a challenge within a mainstream classroom and this book provides teachers with practical suggestions and advice. The aim of this book is to provide simple ideas and strategies that can be used with these children on a daily basis, as well as opportunities to enhance their learning. Each chapter offers suggestions and ideas for each curriculum area in order to help to develop language within the Primary classroom.

About the Author :
After graduating from Reading University Elizabeth Hoad trained at King Alfred's College Winchester. She worked in a Junior School for 5 years, and she taught throughout the whole of Key Stage 2. She moved on to help set up a Resourced Provision for Language Impairment attached to a mainstream Junior school. She started there as the teacher and ultimately became the Co-ordinator. Whilst working there she gained a Diploma in Language and Communication Impairment in Children from Sheffield University. She took a career break when her son was born but has written articles for 5 to 7 Educator during this time.
