About the Book

Cesar Vallejo's correspondence offers a unique insight into his life story. These volumes collect the letters written between 1910 and the death of the poet. They include previously unpublished letters addressed to Tristan Tzara, Xavier Abril, Jose Eulogio Garrido and Juan Larrea, requests Vallejo sent during his stay in the Trujillo prison, requesting his freedom, and fragments of the letters that he addressed to his wife Georgette Philippart. The text is enriched with explanatory notes that allow us to delve into his universe. "

Review :
" (Thus, the reader who acquires this book-meticulously crafted, whether for personal enjoyment or academic interest-will not find an extensive introduction to César Vallejo and his works, nor a synthesis of the specialists' knowledge. Instead, they will be able to satisfy their curiosity about Vallejo's correspondence, being thoroughly informed, in great detail, about the origins of the letters and other texts.)
