Review :
Are they needed? To be sure. The Darwin industry has scandalously failed to provide texts of more than a handful of Darwin's books. If you want to know what Darwin said about his grandfather or what he wrote about barnacles (still an essential reference to cirripedists, apart from any historical importance) you are forced to search shelves, or wait until someone else does it for you. Many titles have not been in print for a century.'- Eric Korn, The Times Literary Supplement'Having the whole output of a single author as a complete set arranged in chronological order is a resource of incalculable value...The illustrations are magnificent...the publishers must be congratulated on the high quality of these reproductions.'- P J James, Archives of Natural History
