About the Book

Liam Creed was excluded from school more times than he can remember, his outbursts got him into nasty fights, he faced a constant struggle with medication, and his family were driven to despair. All because he was born with an inability to sit still and concentrate: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Liam thought his life was destined for failure - after all, that s what had been drummed into him for years - until, one life-changing day, he met a mischievous bundle of energy called Aero. Working for a charity called Canine Partners, Liam found himself training Aero, a Labrador puppy, to help people with disabilities live an independent life. Yet, somehow, along the way, his relationship with the pup started working on his own affliction too. Unexpectedly Aero and Liam develop a special bond. As Liam struggles to train the bouncy pup, for once he doesn t feel useless and afflicted. Might the dog have given him a focus? An understanding of how to control his own behaviour? And most of all, a sense of hope for a better future? This is the story of Liam and his unlikely teacher, Aero.

About the Author :
Liam Creed is now 17 and lives in Chichester. At the age of eight he was finally diagnosed with ADHD, and has been on medication ever since. When his school put him forward as a volunteer at Canine Partners as featured in the BBC documentary In The Dog House Liam found his true calling, realizing that he has a rapport with dogs generally and a special bond with one in particular. The experience changed his outlook forever and he is now training to be a full-time trainer at Canine Partners.
