About the Author :
Laurie Krebs combines her love of children's literature with her enthusiasm for travelling to create wonderful picture books that carryreaders all around the world. Laurie has developed a series of books with Barefoot Books, including We'r e Sailing Down the Nile(PB: 9781846861932), We All Went on Saf ar i (PB: 9781846862038), We'r e Sailing to Galapagos (HB: 9781841489025; PB:9781846861017), and We'r e Riding on a Caravan (HB: 9781841483429; PB: 9781846861079). She is also the author of The Beeman(HB: 9781846861451). Laurie has four children and five grandsons, and lives in Virginia with her husband, Bill.Aurelia Fronty is a painter, illustrator and textile artist. Traditional art from around the world has always interested her, particularlycolors and patterns. Her illustrations for this project were inspired by her travels to Peru and Bolivia. Aurelia's artwork in her firstBarefoot book, One City, Two Br others (HB: 9781846860416), was said to do 'more than illustrate the story; it adds an air of peaceand hope to which children will respond' in a Booklist Starred Review; and the book was praised as 'A beautifully illustrated folk tale' inthe New York Times Sunday Book Review. Aurelia lives in Montreuil, France with her partner and two children.
