Review :
What makes this book more than another historical review is the fact that this style is enjoying such a renaissance with advocates like the Bike Shed, reflecting the resurgence of interest in the assertive style of the bikes that put the bad boy into British biking long before Elvis went glam rock or the Beatles sang 'yeah yeah yeah!' The Road British Cafe Racers is a real winner! onnowieringa.blogspot.com If you're thinking about a cafe racer of your own, are already into cafe racers or just enjoy the lean, purposeful lines of the bikes, Cloesen's book will be one you'll go back to again and again. UltimateMotorcycling.com Uli Cloesen's beautifully-illustrated book reminds us of just how far things have moved on ... this book should be on the Christmas list for everyone with a passion for hand-crafted beauty and fine engineering Old Bike Mart. The seventh volume of Uli Cloesen's custom and cafe racer collection is loaded with British air. It is the first dedicated to the original movement and its most representative machines; the previous monographs were concentrated on Italian, German, and Japanese bikes. AJS, BSA, Brough Superior, Norton, Matchless, Rudge, Enfield, Triumph, Velocette, Westlake ... The whole landscape of British seas are present in some of its most illuminating constructions. We found a large variety of contemporary cafe racers accompanied by histories of their owners. Not all are historical or pure cafe racers, but together they define the tradition of the movement and its subsequent development until today. Entertaining and recreative. _ La Moto.
