About the Book

This volume has gathered the most recent advances in research and up-to-date studies of heritage buildings resulting in STREMAH becoming the most important conference of its kind. The book contains most of the papers presented at the 10th International Conference on Studies, Repairs and Maintenance of Heritage Architecture, incorporating the Maritime Heritage Seminar (STREMAH/07), which took place in Prague. The Conference brought together a series of scholars and professionals to discuss a variety of topics related to architectural heritage. A series of papers were also presented dealing with maritime heritage, an area of research that has been growing in importance in the last few years. The Conference papers were divided into the following sections: heritage architecture and historical aspects, regional architecture, non-destructive evaluation of historic masonry structures, material characterisation, repair and maintenance, preservation and prevention, structural issues, simulation and modelling, seismic vulnerability analysis of historic sites, and, seismic behaviour and vibrations.

Table of Contents:
