About the Book

Adam considered himself a pretty ordinary guy. He liked a drink, had a nice car, was good at his job and had been married to Karen for fifteen years. His life was ticking along. Then he met Wendy and everything changed. This is a story of love and betrayal, a story that never should have happened. After moving away for a job opportunity, Adam did what many other bored and consenting adults do and looked on the internet for fun and companionship. He set up an account, chatted to a few women but never thought anything would come of it. It was just harmless fun, just something to while away a few hours during the week when he was away from his family. Then, into his inbox, came Wendy, a tall brunette of 42 who was looking for the same things he was. She had a way about her that the other women of the site did not have, somehow she seemed freer, more relaxed, it was easy to chat to her over the internet and they exchanged phone numbers. This is the story of an innocent man thrown into a world he was not expecting and was ill-equipped to deal with. It is the story of an everyman trapped in an online world, a web, spun by a devious and intelligent spider. This is a story that to could happen to anyone who strays onto the wrong internet site in the hope of finding love, or fun or just companionship. Technology brings people together but what happens when that person jeopardises your very existence, when they promise the world and steal your heart and mind instead. This is a novel that is inspired by real events. These are fictional characters and locations, but they mirror real people. Like Wendy herself, this novel blurs the boundary between truth and lies, fact and fiction. In Come Lie To Me distinctions are never clear and the demarcation line between what to believe and what not slowly disappears, Adam found this out the hard way. If you have ever been tempted to join a connections site, if you are bored of your humdrum life, if you want a slice of excitement or if you merely wonder what a different life would be like, you need to read this book and think...
