About the Book

Ash-ting, the little grey kitten who can talk to Tara, is here to help her. But Tara needs more help than Ash-ting can offer when her unpleasant 'Uncle' Steve comes to stay. That is when her guardian angel steps in to protect her and her brother and sister. When her sister nearly drowns Tara learns about healing angels and how she can call on them. The angels also teach Tara that she has to take responsibility for her actions. Tara and her kitten Ash-ting discover that the huge old oak tree behind their home is to be cut down to make way for a road. They meet fairies, elves, pixies and imps and working together they find a way to save the tree. The story is written in a way that will help those children who have been abused recognise what has happened to them. It offers practical help and also introduces them to angels with the inspiration and assistance they can offer. The book will appeal to children aged 5-9 as well as parents and teachers. I absolutely adored The Magical Adventures of Tara and the Talking Kitten, and Tara and the Talking Kitten meet Angels and Fairies. Diana Cooper, with illustrator Kate Shannon, has done an amazing job! I read them aloud to my daughter and these books clearly helped her to understand the many ways that angels (and fairies!) can help us in our lives! She loved the characters including the magical talking kitten, the angels, the fairies and of course - Tara!  - Adrienne Dumas, editor and creator of The Faeries and Angels Magazine

About the Author :
Diana Cooper is a lecturer and the principal of the Diana Cooper School. She is the author of many books, CDs and card sets, including A New Light on Angels, A New Light on Ascension and The Angels of Light Cards. During a crisis in her life fifteen years ago she was taken on an incredible inner journey of the Universe by an angelic being. She has since become interested in spirit guides learning how to talk to hers and, as she becomes more clairvoyant, actually sees them. Kate Shannon is an Illustrator specialising in children's books. She has freelanced for 20 years and works in both traditional medium, (pen and ink and water-color), and computer generated drawings using Photoshop and Illustrator.

Review :
"This is not a story book in the conventional sense, it's an educational tool which covers the topic of paedophiles. As a childrens educator and someone who has worked with victims of abuse i think this is a fabulous book.People neeed to understand that this behaviour goes on widespread, there is no point pretending it doesn't. Better to have a child informed in a manner which is interesting to them and which they will absorb than have them either completely ignorant of the situation or worse still being misinformed with information.I would highly recomend this book.I do however think there could be more information about the subject matter on the cover, but there again parents should always be aware of the content of a book before they show it to their children anyway .A difficult topic to write but very well done." - Dawn B., Children's Educator I absolutely adored The Magical Adventures of Tara and the Talking Kitten, and Tara and the Talking Kitten meet Angels and Fairies.
