About the Book

This is a novel about an ancient calendar, two brothers, and one prophecy. In 1519, soldiers of the cross destroy the Aztec city of Cholula, but something older than The Bible survives. It is 2013, the general election year and journalist Karen Whitting shows her adoptive brother Scott, a series of anonymous threatening letters and an invitation they choose to accept. As the Whittings uncover the handiwork of a sadistic killer, they become pawns in a world of deceit and trickery entrenched in the secret societies of Whitehall. With politicians fighting for every vote and the fabric of society falling apart, the Whittings must face their past, before they can uncover the future, but one of them has a secret more deadly than the killer.

About the Author :
Daniel Kane is the nome de plume for a practising forensic scientist. The Fourth Movement was written whilst Daniel studied and worked at University College London. Daniel was brought up in the former coal mining valleys of South Wales and moved to London to study Anthropology at the University of East London. After graduating Daniel took a year out to work and travel abroad. It was during this time that Daniel started to write and develop the tapestry of ideas that weave their way through The Fourth Movement. In 2003 Daniel graduated from UCL with a MSc. in Forensic Archaeology and started to work in the forensic field. He continues to follow archaeological debates and volunteers on an archaeological project for two weeks of each year. Daniel is also guest lecturer at UCL.
