About the Book

Are you interested in the history of warfare? Following the dreadful events of September 11, 2001, the world has changed. The only way to look forward is to look back and see how we came to this position. This new Studymate is designed to describe how warfare changed between 1792 and 1918. The book is ideal for students studying the A2 module on the Changing Nature of Warfare for the OCR syllabus and it will be of vital interest to all undergraduate and amateur historians who aim to improve their understanding of warfare. Dr. Johnson's text is comprehensive yet concise, so saving you time and pinpointing the essential themes for you to make the most use of your study time. This rapid access to themes, events and the background to this fascinating approach to the history of warfare will allow students to speak more authoritatively in seminars and tutorials and to improve the quality of their essay writing on the period.
