You'll build a summary dashboard by using the analytics features, such as reference line and forecast. You'll learn to combine several data sources using the join and blend features. As the course nears completion, you'll learn how to run performance recordings and understand the results. You'll discover how data set-up and dashboard design affects application performance. The course ends by showing how to publish to the Tableau Server. About the Author :
Nigel Davison is a senior data analyst in BP where he works in the downstream big data & analytics team. Since picking up Tableau over six years ago and using it on many projects and solutions, he has become the in-company go-to person on Tableau and data visualization. As well as running the in-company Tableau user group and writing several guidance documents on the subject, he also presents and inspires people on data visualization best practice. In 2018, he presented at Tableau Conference Europe. Nigel sees data visualization as a key skill in modern workspace and wants to share his learnings and experience to help others grow their capabilities. Outside work, Nigel has a young family and squeezes in time for badminton, softball, and running. Abinash Khamari has been working in the field of business intelligence for more than 9 years. He started his career working with business objects and is working in Tableau for the past almost 5 years. He is passionate about sharing and documenting his real-life work experiences, such as the problems a data analyst or a report developer faces when interacting with clients so that it would help students to get a glimpse of the real world. His mantra for creating a good dashboard is less is more. His hobby of painting helps him in creating beautiful dashboards. Doris Macean is a senior data analyst at the world council on city data where the mantra is that data is the universal language. Doris has worked in developing analytics in a number of fields from retail to finance and finally to a non-profit organization. Doris is passionate about using data visualization to tell a story and develop insights that can then be used to drive business decisions and make a real impact on strategy.
