About the Book

Camelot is in trouble. If King Arthur doesn't turn things around soon, his reign will be remembered as nothing more than a rather dull period in British history. Enter three hapless squires with a plan... and a legend is born. This hilarious retelling of the Arthurian legends brings to life King Arthur (obvs), the lovely Guinevere, the enigmatic Merlin, the Lady of the Lake and the Lady of Shalott, the evil Morgana and her troublesome son Mordred, and more Knights than you can fit round an oblong table. Following in the hoofsteps of Le Navet Bete's previous hit adaptations, Dracula: The Bloody Truth, The Three Musketeers and Treasure Island, all co-created with John Nicholson (The Hound of the Baskervilles), it toured the UK in 2023 and 2024. Originally performed by three actors playing several dozen characters, King Arthur offers rich opportunities for any theatre company, drama group or Round Table to create their own legendary production and a spectacular knight to remember.

As an actor, he has numerous television credits, particularly across the BBC and ITV.

Review :
'Quick fire, clever physical comedy at its absolute best... The wit and creativity within each scene is astonishing... many quick costume changes and farcical elements along with mistaken identity and some really excellent quips... a riotously comic couple of hours' 'Splendidly uplifting... the joyous humour of grown-ups being daft' 'Absolutely brilliant... Filled with belly laughs... utterly ridiculous in the best ways possible... Horrible Histories meets Monty Python... without a doubt, one of the best comedic theatre performances we have seen... left us crying with laughter' 'Totally bonkers... physical comedy at its side-splitting best' 'Fresh and bonkers... absolutely nuts... Le Navet Bete command the stage with their infectious energy and this show is a must for all fans of physical comedy theatre' 'Explosive... Be warned: you're in for a rollercoaster of a ride. A cross between physical theatre, panto and circus with a heavy dose of slapstick, additional songs and a script full of excruciating puns, this is a fast-paced, frenetic romp that bares little resemblance to the Arthurian legends but pays a lot of homage to the greats of comedy including Morecambe and Wise, Mr Bean and Monty Python... a riotous script that never pretends to be anything other than completely daft... sheer brilliance'
