About the Book

Frank Doy never wanted a fight. But he can't walk away from this one. Not now his oldest friend is under threat. It starts like any other day . . . Frank's out walking on the beach, when a motor boat comes speeding into view. Closing in fast. "You! In the boat - now!" barks the stranger onboard, waving a gun at Frank. And that's not even the strangest part. The goons whisk Frank away to meet their boss - and it's someone Frank knows. Formidable oligarch Leon Podolsky. He and Frank go way back. And now he's reaching out for one last favour. Leon's beloved sister, Olga, is in grave and imminent danger. Frank remembers Olga. Of course he does. Beautiful, kind-hearted Olga. She couldn't be less like her brother if she tried. But that doesn't matter to Leon's enemies. Hellbent on vengeance, they're closing in on Olga's ramshackle old place, out in the lonely Czech countryside. Keeping her safe out in the wilderness, besieged by enemies at every turn, sounds like mission impossible to Frank. But he knows he's got to protect Olga. Or die trying . . . Perfect for fans of Lee Child, Michael Connelly, Neil Lancaster, Matt Hilton and Mark Dawson. READERS LOVE THE ONE-AND-ONLY FRANK DOY: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'Great page-turners, pure escapism . . . I prefer this series to Reacher.' John ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'I started reading the series about a week ago. I have read each book one after the other. I will be starting the next book in a matter of minutes!' A reader in the US ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'Excellent, edge-of-your-seat stuff.' Oliver ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'Really hard to put down, gripping throughout.' Michelle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 'I would recommend this book to all who like a very good read. Lots of excitement and mystery. Well-written.' A reader in the US MEET FRANK DOY, a quick-thinking, fast-talking security consultant turned private investigator. He has a talent for finding himself in the seediest corners of the most dangerous cities in Europe. He doesn't go looking for trouble. He lives in a converted miner's cottage on an isolated stretch of the Cleveland coast. But he never backs down from a fight and he never turns away those who are desperate. So trouble finds him.

About the Author :
Dan Latus lives with his wife in Northumberland. By instinct and education a geographer, his novels are inspired by the places he knows best, and for which he has an affinity that has grown from long connection. Several are set on Teesside and along the Cleveland coast, where he grew up and developed a love of hill walking and climbing. Others are located in Northumberland, which has long been home. Some are set at least in part in Central Europe, a region he has visited frequently over many years for work and pleasure. And Saving Harry is based in Western Canada, where he also lived and worked.
