About the Book

The Goblin's Mysterious Forest Map Short Summary - "The Goblin's Mysterious Forest Map." Moonlight Hollow glows with lamplight and bakery warmth when a new poster appears on the library's crooked notice board: "Night Kitchen Academy-Open to All Brave Cooks! Beginners welcome, curiosity required." At dawn, two unusual neighbors stop to read it. Dracula, in velvet and with a tilted umbrella, admits he has tasted centuries of soups but never learned to make one. Beside him, Frankenstein's monster-who prefers to be called Frank-confesses he wants to bake without breaking bowls; his big, careful hands and squeaky boots promise gentleness more than fright. They sing their names beneath Lila, Mateo, Priya, and Omar. The head instructor, Chef Ghoulia, promises delicious lessons, safe kitchens, and mysteries solved with measuring spoons. The syllabus gleams with playful spooks: bat-wing brownies, mummy-wrap pies, and moon-mist drinks that sparkle rather than scare. Nervous yet excited, the pair decide that trying new things might be spooky like a creaky attic, but also bright as a midnight lantern. They tug the corner of the poster for the address and set off with pockets jingling with hope, a pinch of salt, and a sense of adventure. They remember earlier culinary misfires: Dracula's untasted soup that "sulked," and Frank's over-enthusiastic pancake that napped on the ceiling all afternoon. This invitation, though, promises patient teachers, talkative measuring spoons, and classmates who love experiments-everything opposite of pouting soup and ceiling cakes. They pass the clock shop whose brass hands keep perfect time for fluttery nerves, and the grocer with blushing pyramids of apples. A friendly cat escorts them halfway, tail held like a question mark. At last, they find a door above the soft clatter of gears: a smiling-cauldron plaque, a wooden-spoon bell, and frosted glass glowing like campfire stories. "Ready?" Frank asks. "Ready to be curious," Dracula replies. Together they climb, not knowing what they'll learn, only that kindness and wonder will season every lesson. In the warm, floury hush, they knock and enter, where curiosity sets the table and courage becomes something you can serve.
