About the Author :
Carol Hellier was born in Essex in the mid-1960s. In her mid-twenties, she uncovered a life-changing family secret: the parents who had raised her were in fact her grandparents, and the sister she had grown up with was her mother. More recently, she also discovered that her great-grandmother was a Romany Gypsy named Rose — a revelation that deepened her connection to her roots and strengthened her sense of identity. With family ties stretching from Stepney in East London to County Cork in Ireland, family and heritage have always played a powerful role in her life. After marrying into a Romany Gypsy family and beginning her married life in a caravan, Carol gained first-hand insight into the traveler way of life. This unique experience brings authenticity and depth to her writing, particularly in her gritty gangland fiction. Before becoming a full-time author, Carol worked in a variety of roles, including hairdresser, kitchen and bathroom designer, medical secretary, and barmaid.
Today, she writes full time following the success of her books. She is the author of eight novels, including the bestselling Ward Brothers series, which reached number one on Amazon. Her books are perfect for readers who enjoy hard-hitting gangland fiction woven with compelling gypsy and traveler storylines.
