Review :
'I was always taught that 'leaders are readers'. I think that is true for everyone, especially for anyone who wants to be a disciple of Jesus, because we are called to go deep and get beneath the surface of things. Reading exposes us to wisdom, offers perspectives which challenge our limited thinking, and enables us to learn from the experience of others. This book not only inspired me to read more but gave me skills to read more effectively for greater benefit!'
'Matthew Porter writes as a wise friend to encourage us all to read, and to read well. He has a marvellous vision for this, which he communicates in a down-to-earth and practical way, drawing on a wide range of authors and thinkers, as well as his own excitement and experience. This is a short book, but full of things to take on board and put into practice for those who are experienced readers as well as those just starting out or overcoming obstacles in their own reading.'
'This excellent short book explores the what, when, how and why of the art of reading with clarity and inspiration. Drawing on years of Matthew's personal experience, it offers practical tools while encouraging readers to grow in wisdom and become bringers of change.'
