About the Book

Comme l’a noté le philosophe Jacques Derrida, l’enregistrement des voix a été l’un des évènements marquants du siècle passé. Le sociolinguiste William Labov s’est intéressé aux motivations sociales des variations phonologiques, mais non pas à la voix en tant que telle. Les recherches effectuées sur la texture et la qualité de la voix ou la relation entre la voix et l’affect sont beaucoup plus rares. Le sujet est mentionné dans les discussions sur la musique, le doublage, le théâtre et la traduction, sans toutefois être analysé en profondeur. Les articles sur la voix correspondent en outre à un développement relativement récent dans les domaines de la psycholinguistique et de la psychoacoustique, lié à un regain d’intérêt pour les études sur l’émotion de manière générale. Le présent recueil d’articles offre une perspective pluridisciplinaire au carrefour entre la sociolinguistique, la phonologie et les études cinématographiques.

About the Author :
Michaël Abecassis est Maître de Conférences à l’Université d’Oxford (Christ Church, University et Wadham). Ses champs de recherche sont la linguistique appliquée, la sociolinguistique, la grammaire, la chanson francophone et le cinéma. Il est l’auteur de The Representation of Parisian Speech in the Cinema of the 1930s (2005) et l’éditeur avec Marcelline Block de French Cinema in Close-up: La vie d’un acteur pour moi (2015) et An Anthology of French and Francophone Singers from A to Z: Singin’ in French (2018). Marcelline Block est diplômée de Harvard et de Princeton, spécialiste de cinéma. Parmi ses publications sont World Film Locations: Boston, Paris, Prague, Las Vegas and Marseille; Fan Phenomena: Marilyn Monroe (2015); la traduction en anglais de Propaganda Documentaries in France, 1940–1944 (2016) par Jean-Pierre Bertin-Maghit; et avec Michaël Abecassis, French Cinema in Close-up: La vie d’un acteur pour moi (2015) et An Anthology of French Singers from A to Z: Singin’ in French (2018). Gudrun Ledegen est Professeure des Universités en Sciences du Langage à l’Université de Rennes 2 et auparavant à l’Université de La Réunion. Ses recherches portent sur la sociolinguistique, la syntaxe du français ordinaire et les langues en contact (français–créole réunionnais), entre autres dans les parlers jeunes, ou encore l'écrit-sms. Elle s'intéresse par ailleurs à la circulation interlinguistique dans les échanges en contexte de surdité. Maribel Peñalver Vicea est Professeure titulaire (MC, HDR) en linguistique française à l’Université d’Alicante (Espagne). Elle est membre associée au CREFEG/LF, Sorbonne nouvelle-Paris 3 (Champ d’étude en études féminines et de genres/Littératures francophones), appartient au SYLED-CLESTHIA, ainsi qu’à « Genre, sexualités, langages », à l’Université de la Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3, où elle est Professeure invitée.
