About the Author :
John Esmonde (Author) John Esmonde was best known as the writing partner of Bob Larbey. The pair were childhood friends who went to the same grammar school, and both shared an interest in radio humour. Together, they created several hit sitcoms including Please Sir!, The Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles. John Esmonde died in 2008. Bob Larbey (Author) Bob Larbey was a renowned sitcom and screenplay writer. For over 30 years, he was the writing partner of John Esmonde and together the duo wrote several hit comedies including The Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles. Larbey's solo work included A Fine Romance and As Time Goes By. He died in 2014.
