His essays and reportage have appeared in the New York Times, Playboy, The Atlantic, Glamour, Salon, and Buzzfeed, where he was a regular contributor on gender issues. Man Alive won the LAMBDA Literary Award and was named a Book of the Year by Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, NPR Books, and BuzzFeed.
