Mudanca de Paradigmas (romance) BERENICE DUNBAR The book is a family saga that has its beginning in 17th century in Maranhao,(North of Brazil). It describes cultural influence left by the French in that State. The beliefs and the greed of the Head of the family Leon (villain of the story), by abuse of political power. The characters are involved in dramas that pass through several countries including Brazil. The episodios that characters are involved in, are incredible and difficult to solve. The concepts and ideologies, make the familia Leon reassess the paths of their family policy and internal upsets caused by power. The Author respects the natural cycles of a family with international links. The story describes situations in depth, detailing the culture, fashion and the way of life of Brazilian people at the time. In addition to the political game of the novel, the Author shows adequate human and physical scenarios, both fiction and reality, including very real feelings of love and romance.

About the Author :
Berenice Dunbar is a Brazilian, born in Sao Paulo. At 18 years of age she went to study at Abbey School, London, capital of England. This was under an exchange scheme. Life at the Boarding School, was not easy. There were many existential conflicts, she crashed with the differences in culture, became depressed and very ill, but never gave up her dreams. In 1989 she married a British sea fairing engineer and started travelling with him around the world on various sea going tankers. At sea she learned how to live among sea men, learn their habits, learn their way of living and accept everything in their environment. She kept a diary into which she recorded everything she saw, felt and the way she was treated. These experiences and her recorded notes influenced her to write her first book, the Minha Infancia Fez Minha Historia, which has been published in 1990, translated and published as The Day the Ocean Cried in 2012 by Authorhouse.USA. In the same year, she moved with her husband, to Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina, a sea side town in the south of Brazil. She has been since then, involved in tourism and literature. In 2002 she helped with the founding of the Academy of Literature of Balneario Camboriu. The author has written four books: Minha Infancia fez Minha Historia, Champagne, A Sonhadora, Mudanca de Paradigmas and many articles for the newspapers. In 2005 she graduated with a degree at Bachelor level in Leisure and Management of Events from the University of Vale do Itajai, Balneario Camboriu, SC. She is an expert at organizing culture events. In 2009 Berenice became a member of the Society of Authors from Britain. The Author dreams of a fairer world, with more love, understanding, less violence, more honesty and world peace!
