About the Author :
CLIVE GIFFORD published his first book when he was 17, and moved into an editorial career in children's book publishing after he graduated from Southampton University. At 30, he decided to become a full-time writer, and shortly thereafter won the Times Educational Supplement Information Book of the Year award. He lives in Manchester.
