About the Book

In these times of troubling anti-immigrant rhetoric, The Immigrant Cookbook offers a culinary celebration of the many ethnic groups that contribute to a vibrant food culture. This beautifully photographed cookbook features starters, soups, salads, mains, desserts, and side dishes - some familiar favourites, some likely to be new encounters - by immigrant chefs from Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia.

About the Author :
Leyla Moushabeck is cookbook editor at Interlink Books in the USA. Over the past 10 years, she has worked on numerous award-winning cookbooks, including, most recently, Soup for Syria: Recipes to Celebrate Our Shared Humanity and The Aleppo Cookbook, winner of the 2017 Art of Eating Prize. She has a Palestinian father and a British mother, and lives with her Colombian husband and son in Brooklyn.

Review :
`Recipes tell two stories: the story of how to make a meal and the story of the people who have made it over time. The Immigrant Cookbook is a vital reminder and celebration of these two stories.' Yotam Ottolenghi; `This is a powerful, important, and delicious cookbook which everyone should own. Roots cooking at its finest.' Anthony Bourdain; 'Reading the recipes in this beautiful book, I felt like I was listening to a language that could help bridge every divide.' Alice Water; 'I think food and music are the most powerful tools to break the barriers between different ethnicities, religions and cultures. The Immigrant Cookbook is a beautiful book full of mouth-watering recipes that will appeal to all food lovers regardless of where they live or where they are from. I am so excited to start cooking from it.' Thomasina Miers
