About the Book

Healing doesn't erase the past-it calls us to face it with truth.

Wombat Valley is a town shaped by fire, loss, and the fragile work of people rebuilding their lives.

Jesse Walker is determined to leave his criminal past behind. But change demands more than good intentions. It requires proving yourself to be trustworthy. When thefts begin in the valley and suspicion returns, Jesse must confront the fact of whether grace is available to him.

Single mother Ruby is learning to make wise choices after a life marked by instability and harm. As she steps into faith, she navigates questions of safety in new relationships. When another young woman faces a life-altering decision about motherhood, Ruby offers to walk alongside her, navigating the fine line between encouraging life while supporting freedom of choice.

In the wider community, a bold men's behaviour change program confronts cycles of power, control, and denial. It calls men to accountability and transformation through truth, not shame. At the same time, survivors wrestle with grief, forgiveness, and the question of whether authentic change is possible.

Hope has previously reached safer ground, but embers from the past still burn. As her fiancé, Joe, wrestles with his own grief, Pastor Tom and Eve urge them to face what lies beneath.

Together, they discover how God can use fire to redeem what was damaged.

Grace for the Broken is a gentle but unflinching story of repentance and healing, seen through the costly work of grace in lives that need restoration.

About the Author :
Philippa Cleall is a Children's and Family Counsellor and volunteer Court Chaplain on the South Coast of NSW, Australia. Her debut novel, Restoring Hope, was inspired by her work and personal life journey. The sequel, Grace for the Broken, has been written to encourage people who are healing from painful relationships and those who have been causing harm but are brave enough to change. She has a heart for seeing faith communities become places that are more trauma informed so they can care for those hurting with wisdom, compassion, grace, and truth. www.philippacleall.com
