About the Book

An unforgettable true to life story of resilience, family sacrifice, and the courage to chase the dream of a better life. The Immigrant is a powerful, story of migration, resilience and the pursuit of a better future. Loosely based on the author's own journey, it follows an immigrant boy who leaves his homeland at eight years old and grows into a man shaped by education, love, family, business and perseverance. The story follows the life story of the author from childhood to adulthood to retirement. From humble beginnings to getting an education, falling in love, raising a family, running a business, traveling the world and eventually retiring. Each experience has been retold in the book.Through his career, his travels and the sheer unpredictability of life, the author has gained insights that he is sharing in the book. It may offer the reader a new perspective on life and help readers navigate life's challenges, build financial stability and give some insights into living life more fully. The author's experiences create a rich tapestry of a life that is anything but ordinary. It may be a work of fiction because the names and locations have been changed. But the experiences, the lessons and the journey are all real. The story is written in 3 parts. It begins with how he met his wife and then goes on to cover the first 25 years of his life, including his childhood, migration and education. This section recounts his journey to the United States, his education, his early travels and the experiences that shaped him before he met and married my wife. The second part covers the next 20 years, from age 25 to 45. This period includes married life, having children, changing jobs and starting a business, experiencing failures and rising again. Part 3 covers ages 45 to 70, the years of reaping what was sown. A time of planning for retirement and old age. Health and family took precedence over ambition. This period was about re-evaluating priorities and reflecting on life's lessons learned.
