About the Book

A lively, engaging rhyming retelling of the Bible's creation story, written especially for children aged 5-8.

God the Builder brings Genesis 1-2 to life through playful, memorable rhyme and warm, inviting storytelling that children will want to hear again and again. With language crafted for reading aloud, this book helps young listeners and early readers step into the wonder of the very beginning-when God made everything.

The story unfolds across the six days of creation in a clear and satisfying pattern. In days 1-3, God forms the spaces for light, sky, sea, and land.

In days 4-6, He fills those spaces with sun and moon, birds and fish, animals-and finally people.

Genesis 2 then gently slows the story, returning to the sixth day to focus on Adam and Eve in the garden. Here, children see the goodness of God's creation up close: a beautiful world, meaningful work, and the joy of living in relationship with their Creator.

Faithful to Scripture while remaining simple and accessible, God the Builder introduces big Bible truths in a way young children can grasp. The rhythmic text supports early literacy, while the structure of forming and filling helps children understand and remember the flow of the creation account.

Perfect for bedtime reading, family devotions, church programs, and classroom use, this book offers a joyful first step into the Bible's great story-helping children see that the world is not случай or empty, but thoughtfully made and wonderfully ordered by God.

About the Author :
A storyteller, traveller, and grandfather, David Ritchie shares page-turners that make you chuckle, reflect, and imagine.David was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and moved to Sydney, NSW, with his family when he was ten.A former teacher, pastor, and carpenter, he has lived and worked in Australia and Kenya - teaching physics in Nairobi, climbing Mt Kenya three times, and collecting stories from every chapter of his life. Now semi-retired in Newcastle, Australia, David writes for readers of all ages. His work ranges from rhyming ballads that weave humour and faith to imaginative fiction for children and adults. He draws inspiration from a lifetime of adventure, travel, and teaching, as well as from his wife, Margy, their four children, and eight grandchildren.
