About the Book

What happens when an ordinary life crosses paths with extraordinary people? In Rubbing Shoulders, Linda Hansen recollects her encounters, friendships, and unexpected moments with some famous actors, performers, athletes, artists, and leaders. With a gift of storytelling, she shares fascinating moments of her life that developed into wonderful memories and genuine, relationships. This memoir isn't just about celebrities, - it's about making connections and the magic of being in the right place at the right time. Enter into Linda's world, where every handshake tells a story and every encounter leaves a lasting impression.

About the Author :
Unlike many authors, Linda Hansen never considered writing a book until a friend encouraged her to write a children's picture book. One year later, Linda was a successful author and illustrator of two creative children's books. In 1999, in a casual discussion, Linda recounted the time she met a jazz musician. Similar conversations continued over the years, and an acquaintance finally said, "You should write a book." Multiple people offered the same suggestion, and Rubbing Shoulders came to be.Linda grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and currently lives in Florida with her husband and their dog. After retiring from her career as a non-profit executive director, she finally found the time to follow her creative passions. She enjoys expressing her love of art and nature in her watercolor paintings. In addition to writing, she speaks on "You are Never Too Young, or Too Old." Linda is proof that there is always time to start a new journey.

Review :
"Linda has touched me with Rubbing Shoulders. This story brings back life's greatest moments " -George Noory, host of Coast to Coast Am national radio "As these pages reveal, Linda Hansen has worked with, and therefore 'rubbed shoulders' with, an impressive list of interesting, accomplished, and renowned people. Here's what she is too modest to say: We all kept asking for her because she was not only very good at what she did, but very good company as well." -Bob Costas, Legendary Emmy-Winning Sportscaster & Baseball Hall of Famer. Linda Hansen takes us down memory lane with her memoir, Rubbing Shoulders. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, this humble woman shares some of the remarkable opportunities that came her way in life. With dreams larger than the borders of University City could hold; not one to easily say no, Linda said yes to every chance she had to meet new people. From studying theater in New York to working as a makeup artist for celebrities, politicians, and sports stars, she was in the best possible position to meet many of the big names. Some of these people left lasting impressions and even became good friends. Join Linda as she shares a small piece of her life with us, inspiring us all to be more open to opportunity. Rubbing Shoulders is the perfect title for this memoir, because that is exactly what the author did. Linda Hansen is intuitive when it comes to people, and it shows in her writing as well as her interactions with various celebrities. The majority of the experiences that she shares with us take place during the time frame of 1950 to 1980. She gives us her purest, most honest opinions on these encounters while also respecting the memory. What I love most about this book is that not for one moment did the author doubt her own ability or question whether she could do something. I respect her bravery in exploring the world, and I salute the love with which she has done it. -5-star Readers Favorite review, Reviewed by Ronél Steyn for Readers' Favorite
