Forewarning! This book is filled with triggers, vulgar language, descriptive scenes of violence, sexual innuendo, in addition to actual sexual immorality depictions and most of all, HEALING! If you are unable to read it thoroughly, please pass this blessing along to your friends and come back to it when you are ready to face the reality that many humans face in their walk and journey to and with the Lord, true healing through direct and raw facts. It's nothing different than what women face every day but take a look into my lenses to see how I processed it all. I admire the people that choose to demask the trauma that they have endured and to truly feel every part of the trauma, for the purpose of healing. You are my heroes! Everyday women, living everyday lives, you haven't given up! That is the most heroic of it all, because others count on you and you're not selfish enough to stop.
This book was not written to tear down those who are known as abusers, strict parents, murderers, adulterers, manipulators, nor anyone who has been called predator to those who name themselves victims or survivors of your mistakes. This book is to bring awareness and then healing to not only survivors but also to those, like myself, who have made mistakes in the midst of trauma. To also help heal those of us who have also been the perpetrators and have manipulated the perceptions of others for personal gain. This memoir is for those who recognize that we are not perfect and in fact, we delve into a system in which we have no conscious understanding that all of the evils and expectations that we place on others, are the very same evils lurking within ourselves. Only with the reflection and identification of self-flaws will we begin to understand the necessary shifting and growing of self over time once we have found and identified within ourselves this space of what is what we call, Wicked.
Review :
"This book is raw, relatable and real!...
She acknowledges that Jesus Christ is the only Hope. Hope for healing. Hope for restoration. And hope to be victorious and overcome. Chaunte's testimony through this book will leave the reader feeling seen and heard without shame, and comforted that there is hope for tomorrow !"
Lady Tiaira Williams of Hope City House of Prayer
"Riveting. Raw. Resourceful. It's one thing to experience trauma. It's another thing to be courageous enough to open the door and give readers a guided tour of your heart, mind, and innermost pain. As one who has also experienced trauma, this reminds me that I am not alone, while assuring me of the hope, triumph and healing available in Christ! I commend your boldness my sister! May many be set free and encouraged!"
