About the Book

This story is about a woman from Caddo Parish Shreveport, Louisiana that was abused as a child during 1945. She went by the name Debra Milano everyone called her monkey for short. She was a female that no one could understand, but she was well loved by many her eyes was green with silky dark hair, but mid-length hair to her shoulders. She had a body that was voluptuous, but her physical problem she worn an eye patch style as her appearance seemed to be pretty at an early age. Her height was 5'2 she was short like a midget with plenty mouth her occupation was working directly for the FDA food safety and drugs she trusted no one at all. Debra was single she was only ten years old. This child had a mind of a 30-year-old she had poor education but, her ability was to always pray. Back then it was depression time when everything was cheap such as meat and bread. Spare ribs were about 20 cent a pound, bread costs 10 cent a loaf, fresh killed chicken was around 20 cent a pound. However, many black folk's loss jobs during depression time as well as white, but white folks had more lead way than black folks during 1945, whites rode the street cars as well as driving them. Children played in their yards with their own kind other children played ring-around- the rosy when others stood on the outsides of the kitchenette waiting or looking for jobs. However, so many human conditions were bad, black folks who could not afford apartment lived in rundown shacks, others were eating out of dumpsters, with no running water while other children played in the yard under the laundry that hung in the yard on clothesline to dry their clothes in the sunshine during the day. We all can overcome our obstacle that stands in the way of anyone dreams and wishes but, we pray for health and strength to move on to a better tomorrow. Yet I am absolutely thrilled with writing this book it has been the best experience that I have ever seen especially someone like myself. Where I need to be in control of every aspect of my writing it is exciting and amazing as well as new for me. However, remember there that is someone or something out there it is more than meets the eye some roll in pairs some in packs. However, thank God for this journey
