Creative Movement: (Creative Movement)

This series takes a concept-based approach to introducing the many ways our bodies can move. From breathing and stretching to yoga and meditation, kids will have fun while relieving tension and improving focus. Upbeat music and basic dance moves combine to build a comprehensive, yet age-appropriate, sequential and movement vocabulary. Through movement we become more aware not only of our surroundings but also of ourselves. So let's get moving!

About the Author :
Michael Dahl is the prolific author of the bestselling Goodnight, Baseball picture book and more than 200 other books for children and young adults. He has won the AEP Distinguished Achievement Award three times for his nonfiction, a Teacher's Choice award from Learning magazine, and a Seal of Excellence from the Creative Child Awards. Dahl currently lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Blake A. Hoena grew up in central Wisconsin, where he wrote stories about robots conquering the moon and trolls lumbering around the woods behind his parents house. He now lives in Minnesota and continues to write about fun things like space aliens and superheroes. Blake has written more than fifty chapter books and graphic novels for children. Born El Salvador, the tiniest country in Central America, Fátima Anaya always wanted to capture the magic of ordinary stories. Inspiration for her illustrations comes from love, peace, her childhood, and historical events. She graduated from Don Bosco University in El Salvador with a BA in graphic design and continues studying art at the intersection of illustration and graphic design. Beth Hughes is an artist who loves animals, nature, and bright colors. She enjoys playing around with colors and shapes and, most of all, telling great stories. She studied at Ringling College of Art and Design and Sheridan College. In the past she has done character design, visual development, and illustration work, and she now works as a freelance illustrator. Glenn Thomas runs The Fox & King, an illustration studio based in Melbourne, Australia. He can often be found lining up for coffee and watching animated movies. It should also be noted he is neither a fox nor a king. Sara Torretta lives and works in Milan, Italy. She attended the Milan Comic Strip Academy (Accademia del Fumetto, Milano), graduating in 2001 as an illustrator. Her work can be seen on greeting cards, posters, and wrapping paper, as well as in books. She deeply loves her job and believes in creating new styles of artwork for each project. Dean Jones is a Grammy award-winning producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, blueberry picker, and lover of life. He's released fifteen CDs for kids, solo and with his band Dog on Fleas, but is proudest of his work producing compilation CDs that have raised over $100,000 for Haiti, girls' science education, and LGBTQ youth. With experience stemming from years of traveling north to south and coast to coast, Koskinen taps those adventures and encounters in music sprouted from a blend of American folk, country, rock-n-roll, and blues. Mark Mallman has released eight full-length studio albums. His songs have played on hundreds of media outlets worldwide, and he's scored music for countless film and television pieces.
