About the Book

"It's not about me. It's about Christ working through me." Christina Bowers Knowing her God was bigger than any cancer, ten-year-old Christina faced this tremendous obstacle with unwavering faith and a smile in her heart. There was no room for anger, and the question "Why me?" would never be asked. Instead, this diagnosis was answered with "Use me. Use me, Lord, for Your Name and Your Glory!" There was no coincidence that Celeste Bowers would be blessed with gifts of writing, teaching, coaching, making people laugh, and being a mom. All these gifts held crucial roles when her ten-year-old daughter, Christina, was diagnosed with cancer. If There's a Mailbox in Heaven, these letters are what Bowers would send her daughter. Take the time to unwrap every package bundled in love and filled with life lessons, and be forever blessed! Celeste's own testimony lives on through her second book, When Your Voice Became Mine: There Is a Mailbox in Heaven.

About the Author :
Celeste Bowers: mother, writer, teacher, coach, treasured friend who walks with anyone who might be stumbling on their path, who lifts up anyone hurting in this game of life, and who has now written a story to change lives and hearts.

Review :
A bit more than halfway through Celeste Bowers's memoir celebrating her daughter's life, she notes that even several years after young Christina's death, "People still ask me, 'How do you do it? How do you keep your faith after witnessing the pain and suffering of your child?'" At that point in the book, the reader already knows the answer. There are few things more frightening for any parent to imagine than the loss of a child. With If There's a Mailbox in Heaven, Bowers shares her family's journey through an inconceivably tragic time, and her personal tribute to her young daughter illustrates how strongly they relied on their faith and trust in God to see them through. Readers are certain to be touched by her mother's tribute. J.C.H: For ForeWord Clarion Review Grab a box of Kleenex before you start to read If There's a Mailbox in Heaven, by Celeste N. Bowers, because it is so beautifully moving that you are going to cry. Don't even try to pretend you are too strong to cry--it is going to happen when you read this book. Christina Bowers was a remarkable little girl. Her mom has included some adorable photos of little Christina that reflect a smile that would light up a room with abundant happiness. Christina left this world at age ten but showed a wisdom and heart beyond her years during her treatment for cancer by asking God to use her for His glory, instead of asking God, "Why me?" As her mom says, this book isn't about cancer or even only about Christina--it is about allowing the Lord to work through our lives to bring others closer to Him for His glory. Wow! Bowers has written this book in a series of "packages" that she wishes she could deliver to Christina in heaven. She uses these letters to tell her daughter how much she was a blessing on earth and how much her family loves her. The letters don't take us through a sad battle with cancer but rather depict a very special child and her relationship with her mom, dad, and brother. It is such an uplifting story and beautifully written by a loving mother who desires to spread God's message of love. There is so much inspiration in If There's a Mailbox in Heaven that you're going to feel blessed and changed after you have finished it. L.M. for Reacers Favorite
