Cunneen, MD, FACS, is Director of Bariatric Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University, where he was awarded membership in the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Neil M. Scheffler, DPM, FACFAS, is a podiatrist in private practice in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a past president for Health Care and Education of the American Diabetes Association, Mid-Atlantic Region. Dr. Scheffler is a well-known researcher, speaker, and author on the diabetic foot. Scott A. Cunneen is director of bariatric surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Nancy Sayles Kaneshiro is a freelance writer and publicist based in Los Angeles. Stephanie A. Verdi holds a BS in dietetics from Miami University and a master's in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
