Review :
"As an educator of students of all ages, and as a parent of two teenage boys, I can't say enough about the activities contained in this book. The authors have taken the foundational concepts of literacy and created engaging, age-appropriate activities for teenagers that specifically target those core areas. This book is extremely practical and will definitely be a go-to resource in my teaching practice and at home with my boys." --Michelle McIntosh, educational interventionist and mindfulness educator "At a crucial stage in students' lives, when most of their knowledge is acquired through reading, Dyslexia Tools Workbook for Teens provides easy-to-implement activities to address the reading and writing challenges caused by dyslexia. This book offers ways to address all the elements of reading that are often impacted by dyslexia. These practical, science-based, accessible activities are a treasure trove, not only for teachers and parents but also for teens looking to improve their reading and writing skills. They will find these activities easy to remember and sensible strategies quite useful for the rest of their lives." --Eric Tridas, MD, past president, International Dyslexia Association and member, National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities "Gavin Reid and Jenn Clark's Dyslexia Tools Workbook for Teens is filled with clever activities designed to appeal to teens. This marvelous workbook creatively takes students from phonemic awareness and phonics through advanced word study, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills. Teachers will love it, too!" --Marcia K. Henry, PhD, professor emerita, past president, International Dyslexia Association, and author of Unlocking Literacy: Effective Decoding and Spelling Instruction, WORDS, and Patterns for Success in Reading and Spelling "This is a clever little book! Gavin Reid always produces useful and interesting books on dyslexia, and he has found an excellent collaborator and co-author in Jenn Clark. This book is full of excellent ideas based on study-skills principles valuable to those struggling with dyslexia-related challenges. The phonological-based tasks are great, and the tests and strategies would benefit not only our students but educators as well. Each section is presented in a clear, friendly fashion, and the ideas follow scaffolding techniques and astute skill repetition to support learning." --John Everatt, PhD, professor and member of International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities "What a fantastic little book! Peppered with icons including football, music, and media to capture the interest of a wide range of teens with dyslexia, this workbook includes a series of short, structured, cumulative tools to improve literacy. Not only that, the authors are highly regarded internationally for both a practical and positive approach, guaranteed to appeal to this age group. What a team--I cannot recommend this highly enough!" --Angela Fawcett, emeritus professor

A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
